If students were awarded a Graduate Assistantship in their acceptance letter, you are required to attend this training. We will be reviewing assignments and completing appropriate paperwork.
11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
A formal welcome event for the Class of 2023, Class of 2024, program leadership, and faculty. Meet with your fellow members of the program, and learn about the various student resource groups that can build a stronger sense of community!

The graduate career coaching team will introduce themselves to the Class of 2024.
12:30 PM – 3:00 PM
Understanding career development theory through experiential and skill-based learning. Active practice of career management, networking, negotiation, goal setting, and development planning skills.
9:00 AM – 9:30 AM
To start the day, the incoming students will have time to ask any questions they may have from yesterday. Following the Q&A, we will review the agenda for the day.
9:30 AM – 12:00 PM
During this session, students will learn the basics of business research that will help them succeed throughout their time in the MBA program.
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Students have the opportunity to take a break for the morning and also grab some lunch.
1:10 PM – 3:30 PM
During this session, students will learn the basics of business research that will help them succeed throughout their time in the MBA program.
9:45 AM – 10:00 AM
During this session, we will review the process of team creation and selection. Following the remarks, we will announce your MBA teams.
10:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Greg Janicki will welcome the Class of 2024 and guide team building exercises.
12:30 PM – 2:20 PM
Students have the opportunity to take a break for the morning and also grab some lunch.
9:00 AM – 9:30 AM

The Assistant Dean for MBA Programs, Cheri DeClercq, will welcome and address the incoming class.

2:10 PM – 4:00 PM
During this session, you will learn more about CampusGroups, D2L, Campus Solutions, Teams, Appointments, and other important websites/technology you will be using throughout your time in the program. Finally, to wrap up the day, students will complete their RCRs.

The Associate Dean for MBA, EMBA, and Professional Master's Programs, Richard Saouma, will welcome and address the incoming class.

Students have the opportunity to take a break for the morning and also grab some lunch.
2:10 PM – 3:00 PM
William Horton-Anderson will review the basics of the Full-Time MBA Curriculum, the various concentrations, and the processes to help you meet the required credit amount to graduate.
9:05 AM – 11:00 AM
Students will check-in for their orientation, receive their nametags, and get their professional headshot.
11:00 AM – 11:30 AM
The Full-Time MBA Program Admissions Team will welcome and introduce the class.
11:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Students have the opportunity to take a break for the morning and also grab some lunch.
12:30 PM – 1:00 PM
Upon returning from lunch, students will come back for a gift from the Full-Time MBA Program.
1:00 PM – 2:30 PM
During this session, you will learn important pieces that will add to your success of being a Michigan State University student.
