Human beings are born creative.  However, as we learn from others in our paths through life, that creativity becomes constrained by systems that teach and reinforce binary problem solving, focusing on one “right answer.”  This methodology teaches us to build mental algorithms and heuristics that become rigid paths of thinking, saving time in decision making, but compromising a student’s ability to explore alternatives.  As future business professionals, we must work to embrace creativity.  This course is the beginning of a journey to show graduate business students that your internal creativity, while perhaps currently latent, can be harnessed to develop new ways of problem solving.
