Entrepreneur Speaker - Jill Carlisle

Jill opened her store La De Da 13 years ago in the suburb of Chicago, Northbrook, and this past January it was awarded Northbrook Business of the Year, honored for its excellent business practices and contributions to the local community. Tripling its business over the years, Jill has created one of the city's most successful specialty shops, selling home décor, baby gifts and fashion items for women of all ages. Jill began her career at Marshall Field's where she spent 14 years working as a buyer for women's knitwear overseas in Europe and Asia. It was this experience that first taught her the importance of the bottom line, understanding cost of goods, pricing for private label merchandise, and identifying consumer trends, all skills that continue to drive the success of her business today. A huge proponent of women in business and leadership roles, she's thrilled to be invited to speak to the BWMBAA.
