MBAA Date Auction

Get excited for the MBAA Date Auction! The event is not so much auctioning "dates" with peers but rather group and individual social events and favors. Last year, over 30 events were auctioned ranging from dinners and guitar lessons to camping trips and brewery tours, raising over $10K in support of the Lansing Food Bank. Beverages will be provided!

Here is how to submit your date. All students are encouraged to participate in at least one date event. However, you can propose and be involved in more than one if you choose.

Step 1: Brainstorm Ideas. Dates do not have to be expensive or time consuming. Think of skills, interests, or hobbies you would like to share with others.
Step 2: Form a team or go solo. You can decide to sponsor a date yourself, or go in with a group.
Step 3: Determine what is included. What will you provide? How many people? Is there a specific date or range of dates, or is it flexible? Decide the details.
Step 4: Email the following information to pricech7@msu.edu by January 31st:
- Name of the Date
- Description/What Is Included
- Number of Participants Allowed

Students can create a date in a group as well as bid on a date as a group (i.e. a dinner for 5 would have a 5-bidder group). Buy as many dates as you want. A Google Docs will be available to view the dates in advance and plan group bids, or groups can be formed during the auction itself.

Transportation & Parking
• Street Parking: We recommend ubering, but metered parking is available.

Payment
• Pay by cash (exact change), or by credit card (Square). Dates purchased on credit card must be paid in one transaction. This means group dates will need one person to use a single credit card, and other members will pay the other members back at a later time.

Drink Tickets
• People who RSVP'd ahead of time will be given two drink tickets. Tickets are valid for domestic pints, calls, and soda.
• Once tickets run out, there will be a cash bar.
