The most defining aspect of the Broad MBA program is our tight-knit community. With a class size of about 80 students, getting to know each other both in and outside of the state-of-the-art Minskoff Pavilion is easy!
From the moment I was interested in becoming a Spartan, I felt support from every angle of the program. Whether it was skyping with a current student or having a discussion with career services to plot my career path, every single person I encountered was invested in seeing me succeed. This feeling is the exact reason I knew Broad was the perfect place to embark on my MBA journey.
The feeling of support has only increased since I started the program in August. Many MBA programs boast collaboration as a pillar to their program, but Broad takes it in a very literal sense. Spartans believe that achieving success is done through helping others, and students continuously band together to ensure that everyone feels supported through every facet of the program. From creating study groups with students who have diverse experiences or conducting mock interviews to get that dream internship, the Broad community works together so everyone can succeed.
It’s definitely not all work here at Broad. There are ample opportunities to get outside of the classroom and bond. The events and activities Broad MBA students get to be involved in is more than just showing up—it’s about actively being involved. From rooting on the football team at tailgates to making (and eating) authentic dumplings with Chinese students, the relationships formed here in East Lansing will stretch beyond the 2-year program.
Broad’s extensive and active alumni network is an example of the strength of relationships between Spartans. Regardless of concentration or graduation year, Spartans are willing to go the extra mile to help each other. Broad alumni played a critical role in my internship search and helped me prepare and secure an offer with my #1 company.
Collaboration and relationships are at the core of the Broad MBA program. I believe the close-knit community here results in respect for every student. Although we may come from different places and cultures, we are united by the drive to be effective business leaders and support one another throughout our MBA journey and beyond.
Together, Spartans will make business happen!
