Full-Time MBA Program April 2020

Dear MBA Student Community:

Thank you. Your persistence and resiliency during this time of uncertainty has been remarkable. The Full-Time MBA community culture remains strong, and you are the primary reason for that. People learn the most about themselves when presented with challenges. As each day brings more challenges and uncertainty, your hard work and care for each other keep our program together. In this most unconventional of semesters, you have supported each other, learned from each other, and have been amazingly successful in getting to this point. We could not be prouder of the way you have responded to the current environment. Continue to push hard, and take care of each other. We will prevail.

Class of 2021:

Thank you for assuming leadership responsibility for this program in such a volatile, uncertain time. In a short while, you have already taken HUGE steps to strengthen us for the upcoming year. As you begin your internships and prepare for the summer, know that we are here to support you in any way we can as you take another step towards achieving your dreams.

Class of 2020:

I know that many of you have heavy hearts this week. I am so sorry that we are not in a position to give you all you deserve, and celebrate your achievements with your families, in person. Thank you for your leadership of this program, and all your contributions to its success and growth. As you transition to your post-MBA professional lives, you will be missed. We are excited to welcome you home to celebrate your graduation as soon as possible! All the best in your post-MBA careers; we are excited to watch you SOAR!

We are so tremendously proud to be a part of the Full-Time MBA Community with all of you.

All the best for a safe, healthy, and fulfilling summer,

Your FTMBA Program Team

Parting Words

"Without question, the COVID-19 pandemic has put into perspective how many meaningful daily experiences we often take for granted. For the MSU MBA class of 2020, we’ve been stripped of our last semester, leaving us without an opportunity to say goodbye or celebrate our accomplishments together. However, it is still important to take the time to reflect and recognize all that we have been able to accomplish over the course of our journey through the MBA program." MBA Family

"...our graduation ceremony is postponed indefinitely while we are separated by our families and friends as a large portion of us reside here in the East Lansing area, keeping a distance. And yet, these things didn’t breed fear and uncertainty, instead it brought us closer together as a graduating class. Throughout these two years, I’ve asked employers what sets apart a Michigan State University MBA. They always seem say it is because of either our grit or our collaborative nature."
