Technology Help and Resources

The following information was gathered to help all students with the various technology that can help you succeed while your time in the Full-Time MBA Program. It is important to note, some of these videos are geared towards undergraduate students, but the material is the same.

WebEx

This system is connected to each team room and breakout room throughout the Broad College complex and Henry Center. It can be connected via wireless (through downloading an app) or HDMI cable.

Zoom

Zoom is a cloud-based solution for video and audio conferencing, mobile collaboration, and online meetings and Webinars. Zoom's web-based conferencing uses high-quality video and audio and is accessible on MacOS, Windows, iOS and Android mobile devices. Additionally, Zoom can be used with conventional phone lines for audio conferencing. MSU students and staff can download and use it for free.

  • Make sure you have your MSU NetID and password. Need help? MSU IT Services contact options are available on the site as well.
  • All Zoom meetings at MSU require a password, which is usually a series of numbers. Make sure you locate your meeting password in your email invitation.

Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams (aka Spartan Teams) is the chat-based workspace tool that allows you to manage all of your conversations, files, and tools in one team workspace. With Teams, on a computer or mobile device, you can chat one on one or with a group, share and edit files, co-author documents, track changes, assign tasks for projects, and make audio or video calls. Teams also integrates with the other services within Office 365 like Microsoft SharePoint and OneDrive. This tool can be used across multiple devices. It's available to MSU students and staff for free!

  1. Login to your Spartan365 account using your MSU NetID and password. *Office 365 is a free download for MSU students!
  2. Click on the Teams tile, and a new tab should open with your Teams account.
  3. Any meetings you have scheduled will appear on your calendar.
  4. Click on your Calendar, and go to the date of your appointment.
  5. Click on your appointment, and click the violet "Join" button. Be sure to allow your microphone and camera to be on.
